Advantages of pencil on the marker in the development of children.

- Pencil better develops the coordination, because you need more control. The pencil does not write in all position, while the marker, even very inclined, let its sign.
- Pencil is more creative because it allows different intensities. For example a pencil, according to the pressure on the paper, gives deep red, light red, very light red, … while a marker it simply gives RED.
- Pencil offers a wider expression. The pencil let you create new nuances by overlaying different colours. With the marker you can hardly mix one time, and if you continue you will ruin the paper.
- Pencil stimulates self-esteem. The pencil is more difficult because it requires more coordination. The first attempts of a child won’t be great. While the inexperienced kid with a marker in his hand will succeed to place full coloured line everywhere, on walls and clothes too. The child with a pencil will take longer to draw what he wants. But that will be a genuine achievement, producing a high self-esteem.

El lápiz ofrece crear un mundo rico en variaciones. El lápiz te permite crear nuevas tintas superponiendo diferentes colores. Con el marcador apenas puedes mezclar una vez, y si continúas sobre la misma área vas a arruinar el papel.
El lápiz estimula la autoestima. El lápiz es más difícil porque requiere más control. Mientras que el niño con un marcador en la mano será pronto satisfecho dejando signos por todos lados (también en las paredes), los primeros intentos de un niño con lápiz no serán geniales. El niño con un lápiz tardará más en dibujar lo que quiere. Pero eso será un logro genuino, regalando-le la satisfacción de conquistar algo con su esfuerzo. Así, pasitos a pasitos, crece su autoestima, el motor de su futuro.
